FUN FACT: Before the current mascot Baldwin (BALD from bald eagle, WIN for WIN!) came along, the team mascot was a stuffed mounted eagle for some 40 years. From 1961-1966 a real 10lb. eagle named Margo (for team colors Maroon and Gold) served as the mascot and after her death they decided to go to the current Baldwin since the Bald Eagle had become an endangered species.
